New A/V night for south London. Tom Central appears 19 April

In what is almost certainly south London’s only 100% Audio-Visual music night, Brixton-based BRXTONFUNK presents a new night of music and moving image. Sounds to dance to, pictures to watch. The idea behind VCR – taking place at Electric Social, Brixton – is to present cutting edge electronic music with dedicated visual content. Tom Central will be doing his live audio-visual show of bassy house, UK Garage, Disco and all sorts of beats and pieces in between. He’s joined by thw duo Mochi applying the music whilst Mas Effect throws live visuals up onto the big screen.

VCR takes place on Friday 19 April, from 9pm til 2am downstairs at Electric Social. Its free all night. Bring dancing feet!

Tom Central added to Soundcrash Boat Party at Soundwave

More exciting news for you. Tom Central will be playing a short set at on the Soundcrash Boat Party at Soundwave on Sat 20 July! Tom joins the already fab line up of Detroit’s very own Homeboy Sandman who is signed to Stones Throw, no less. Ghostly International’s Shigeto will be playing his trademarks sounds too. Rough Trade’s Bobba Fatt also appears alongside Keep Up! family member DJ Cheeba. If you’re coming to Soundwave and haven’t been a boat party before, this is the perfect initiation!

Announcing a new night launching in March in Brixton. Stay Low is a monthly video-oriented night focussing on future bass and beats, from house, to two-step to hip hop. Featuring Stay Low residents Mochi and Mas Effect, performing a live video Monome set plus special guest Tom Central. Tom’s been busy in the lab to bring you this show; cutting, splicing, editing and rediting old and new music and video.

Entrance to Electric Social is free as always, this event takes place in the downstairs bar.

July can’t be here soon enough so the nice people at Soundcrash have decided to do various launch parties for Soundwave festival. Keep Up’s DJ duo Tom Central and Cosmo Lopez will be representing the label at the London event playing alongside a heavyweight bill at XOYO! Mr Thing and Kidkanevil go back to back on the turntables whilst Anchorsong brings us his new live show. LA Beat DJ Kutmah gives us a taste of what’s to come out in Croatia and Kelpe performs a live show of material from his new EP. Completing the line-up are second-to-none DJs Dom Servini, First Word’s Gilla and Lea Lea.

If this isn’t already enough, there’s a super secret special guest! We’ve no idea who it is but knowing Soundcrash we’re sure its someone WELL worth checking!

Paraguay’s favourite dance music trio have been busy lately with remixes for artists on Get Physical and Kitsune, as well as Loungin’s newest signing Mirrors from Scotland.

Our favourite blog The Veal Pen has now the exclusive preview of the LPZ remix which has been described as 7-minutes of acid-driven house. Other remixes include Wrong Tom and Deemas (Tru Thoughts) and new bruk-step lynchpin C.O.N.E.

LPZ remixes Compuphonic’s Sunset on Get Physical

Paraguayan trio LPZ have recently reworked the massive hit of last summer, Sunset (2 million views and counting on Youtube), which is now out on Get Physical Records. With a tempo designed for the dancefloor and a bubbling bassline this one is bound to be in many DJs’ digital record box.
