A bit of Friday YouTube Entertainment

Sophia George - Girlie Girlie
I know nothing about this video other than it was brought to my attention by Long Distance Dan, and inspired me to put this little selection together. Some wonderful rhyming couplets in this tale of a man who is "too girly girly".

Lev and Thumpbot play Crazy
Robots with theremins. Need I say more?

Major Force Present How to DJ - Pt.8
Originally on VHS, and supplied with two 12" records, "How To DJ" was a Japan only release featuring the "cutting edge" DJs from the era. The whole thing is a bit long to watch, but this clip featuring DJ K.U.D.O and Dub Master X (dressed as an off duty accountant) is probably the highlight.

Al Minns and Leon James on DuPont Show of the Week
Wonderful vocal sample at the beginning of this original tv broadcast. I expect notes to be taken, and some Lindy hopping at the next Whitehorse gig.

Raquel Welch: Space-Girl Dance
For a slightly different dancing style.....(drum breaks are sample-tastic)

Leaders Of The New School - Case Of The P.T.A.
I'd never heard of Leaders of The New School before, and hence didn't know of Busta Rhymes's almost d.a.i.s.y. past. Absolute corker of a track, and due for heavy Keep Up! rotation as soon as I track down the vinyl (frrrresh from '91)

Morgan Freeman Receives His Radiohead In Rainbows Discbox
And finally, Adam Buxton (nee and Joe) does a promotional mashup for Radiohead's DeadAirSpace channel for the launch of In Rainbows. It's what's in the box that counts.
